Between Form and Light
Ernesto Naranjo’s SS26 collection emerges from the dialogue between the geometric and the ethereal. An exploration of balance — between precise structures and the lightness of fabric — where each garment becomes a living form in motion.
Through translucent layers, suspended volumes, and breathable materials, the silhouettes transform with the light, casting shifting shadows that seem to choreograph their own rhythm. Color — from copper to mauve, from silver to deep violet — evokes bodies that move, dance, and celebrate the freedom of gesture.
Inspired by the work of Loïe Fuller and Rebecca Horn, the collection translates the fusion of body, material, and energy. Like Fuller, Naranjo turns light into fabric and movement into form; and like Horn, he explores the dialogue between the rigid and the fluid, the shiny and the matte, revealing the tension between control and release.
Sheer tulles, liquid satins, and elastic materials wrap the body in a delicate balance between structure and weightlessness. Each piece embodies a quiet theatricality — a sensuality that feels almost cinematic, suspended in the instant before movement, when light grazes the skin.
As a whole, SS26 is a tribute to balance itself: between body and light, technique and emotion, the real and the ideal.
